It’s so cold and rainy lately, feels more like early spring than early summer in the Mid Atlantic. I don’t mind exactly- I hate the heat- but it does seem strange.
Anyway, that means I’ll hold out for a little sunshine to get a shot of my latest FO, Green Gable. My version is blue, I made some sizing mods, and it is SO cute! I love it and I’m already dreaming of all the things I can use brown sheep cotton fleece for. Recently, I’ve been spending an inordinate amount of time yarn shopping online- not buying anything, but dreaming about future projects.
I had a few days off work and I cast on for Anna Bell’s Cherry on Wednesday. I’m using Elann Sonata in burgundy rose and knitting the second size (35″). After working most of the way through the back, I thought the 6 balls I bought wouldn’t be enough so I ordered an extra one before elann ran out of the dyelot.
In other news, I finished watching Season 2 of Weeds on DVD. I loved it! Especially the ending- so dark, which is appropriate given the subject matter IMHO. Enjoyed the finale of Moonlight- but I’m so disappointed about the cancellation. Ugh, what is CBS thinking?!? On saturday, C & I went to see Prince Caspian. It was pretty good, but I would have enjoyed it more had the editing been tighter- 2 hours 20 min was definitely too long.
