On Friday the 13th, I visited a new-to-me LYS, The Tangled Skein in Hyattsville, MD. Actually, it’s not that local, but it was worth the 30-40 minute drive. The shop had a great selection, and plenty of sweater quantities in a given color/dyelot, which I really appreciate. I actually used to live in that area, when I was in college. The area has changed somewhat…. it was weird being back there. I took C on a walk down memory lane, telling him about my life circa 2000-2002. Funny, we met that summer, of 2002.
Anyway, they were having a big sale and I got 3 skeins of cotton fleece for Rusted Root, as well as the book Lace Style. I’ve been coveting this book for awhile and I want to make the Showoff Ruffle Skirt. The skirt is the perfect excuse to buy some Cotlin, which I’ve been wanting to try ever since I saw this version.
I’m still plugging away on Wallis. Here’s one of the fronts.
