Here’s my latest finish, Haunt the Night Away by Brittercup Designs.  The fabric is 28 ct autumn sunrise cashel linen from Silkweaver.  I have enough of a stash that I was able to go stash diving for this a few weeks ago, kit it up, and start immediately.  It was a fun, quick stitch, and (sadly) I think it is my only cross stitch finish of 2008 (so far).  Oh well, I guess knitting has dominated from crafting energy.   I plan to finish this with a tabletop frame, if I can find a good one at Michael’s.  Sorry for the wrinkled fabric, I’ll post another picture in the gallery after I mount/frame.

Last weekend my LNS, the Scarlet Thread, had a fabulous anniversary sale.  I picked up a new chart by Mirabilia, Athena, Goddess of Wisdom.  I love this design and what it represents… wisdom is something I continually, eternally, seek.  This design calls for a lot of specialties, waterlilies silk threads, mill hill treasures, etc, and I am slowly accumulating everything needed.  A fat quarter of blue dynasty belfast linen currently residing in my stash will be perfect for this.

Cute! I like the grinning pumpkin. Athena is nice too, I just love Mirabilias!
