I’ve had Ysolda’s Snow White pattern, and yarn earmarked for it for awhile. When the Sexy Knitters
Club on Ravelry announced Snow White for the fourth quarter knitalong, it seemed like kismet. I’m using Valley Yarns Sheffield, a merino/angora/silk blend. This yarn is so soft, I wonder about durability, so I’m knitting at a bit tighter gauge. I am really enjoying the yarn, it is lush. I’ve just started the bust increases, and I have about 10″ done.
The knitting looks tiny, but it is very stretchy. One thing I’ve noticed, I won’t be wearing this sweater over anything with a bumpy fly, beltloops, etc. There’s enough negative ease in this that it looks weird. So, it will be low rise pants or skirts/dresses, I suppose.
I’ve never done a tubular cast on before, but Ysolda’s tutorial was great. So far, the pattern is easy and fast. This is just what I needed after Avalon, which was not so quick. Avalon is almost done, I should have an FO soon!
