Here’s my latest, yet another two for the SKC’s current knitalong. What can I say, I love the chosen theme, and the ladies on the board have provided a lot of helpful information, as well as gorgeous inspiration. I bought this pattern, Broderie, from Twist Collective several months ago and I ordered yarn after seeing a few beautiful finished projects.
The pattern was well written and really fun. I could hardly put the project down, it was nearly finished within two weeks. All that remains is a few ends to be woven, blocking, and sewing on the waist closure; I bought a metal clasp off Ebay. I made elbow length sleeves, which were about all I could get out of my 990 yards of Shine Sport. Short sleeves are fine, this is very much a summer sweater to me.
The other project is the Opulent Raglan, knit with Moda Dea Bamboo Wool. My camera is funny about red sometimes, in reality this is dark red with a blue undertone, a perfect crimson. I’ve changed up the shaping, since my row gauge is way off and to accommodate my curves. The fit is perfect so far and it’s SO cute. Also, it’s nice to work with wool again. Yay for fall!
