Here is a nearly-finished project from Classic Elite’s “Autumn 1” booklet, the Rickrack Rib Pullover.
Begun on February 28th, I hoped to have it completed for St. Patrick’s Day and that was certainly possible, with knitting finished by March 13th. However, I’ve been distracted by other projects and now the seaming is in progress. The yarn is Mirasol Tupa, which is truly lovely. I believe wool/silk is my favorite fiber combination. The color is gorgeous, true to its
name (Emerald), the hand of the fabric is sumptous, soft and shimmery. My camera did not capture it well; here’s an older photo of the yarn, under natural light, which is more true.
The other project is a new work-in-progress, Nespelem from Norah Gaughan Volume 8. I have about 12″ completed on the back piece. The yarn is Elann Sonata in Jade; I feel a bit naughty knitting this yarn which was recently purchased on March 1st. The sale price was a steal and I couldn’t resist; I bought 3 bags. It’s not helpful for the stashdown, but overall I am ahead, there is
quite a lot more yarn coming out of the stash, versus going in. Finally, Happy St. Patrick’s Day to everyone! I didn’t really celebrate, as today was long and I was not really in the mood for revelry, but no matter, as I plan to have my family over for a dinner party this weekend; an Irish menu is planned and I’m really looking forward to it!
