Well, the full moon was a few days ago, but here goes…
Project No. 3 – Athena – received many hours of work. She is stitched on 32 count belfast linen dyed in the “Blue Dynasty” colorway by Silkweaver. Stitching on this fabric is pure joy. It’s a really fun piece with many different colors, including some Waterlilies silks, and not too much confetti stitching. I worked up to the top right corner of the chart and across to the horizontal midpoint. I’d say the cross stitching is about 66% complete, but there will be lots of beading to complete later. The “before” shot (February 2012):
As of March 10, 2012 (the whole piece, and detail of my latest work):
Project No. 10 – Carnaby – also saw a long evening of attention. This is a cute skirt knitted in Valley Northampton (100% wool). After much deliberation, I cut some brown silk habotai into a lining, and installed it along with a grosgrain ribbon as waistband. Some hand sewing remains, but I”m hoping to finish this by the end of March so I can count it for the first quarter stashdown. Here’s the inside of waistband and lining; also the exterior waist.

For next time, I think I’ll work on Woodland Enchantress – a Dimensions Gold cross stitch kit- and my Nespelem cardi, which will be perfect for spring.
