I had Unicorn Mystique on the scroll bars from October, and decided to keep plugging.  Previous progress:

Now (as of November 5, 2013:

As you can see the cross stitching is 99% complete and I’ve moved onto the background (half cross stitch).  There are also a ton of french knots to be done, to create the starry sky.  I pretty much stalled around November 5th though.  There is a lot of half cross stitch done with one ply of dark blue thread, which is barely visible on the navy aida.  It creates a subtle sheen, I guess, but it’s a slog to stitch.

Now for the overall report… all 6 of my original cross stitch goals got some attemtion.  In fact, I finished Royal Holiday, Rose Fairy, Voyage at Sea, and the BAP project (the Joan Elliot Seasonal Fairies).  On the other hand, the knitting goals saw zero action whatsoever.  I worked on a few sweater projects, in the beginning of the year, but then I had zero desire to knit for my expanding preggo self.  A few gift projects were completed, but I’m just not that into knitting anymore… which may change after the baby is born since knitting is much more portable compared to cross stitch.  Also, babies look so cute in knitwear!
