I’m super happy to have this finished before my son reached 4 months old!

For such a small project, it sure does involve a lot of colors. Frequent color changes mean more work than you might expect for a small project, though it’s hard for me to judge- I don’t exactly have a lot of stitching time as a new mom. The shading and details are beautiful though. I revised some of the backstitching, as I’m not a fan of the stair-step, blocky look. I don’t understand while a pattern would have you go to the trouble of doing fractional stitches, and also stair-step backstitches.

I reworked the personalization, slightly, to fit in more information. I also changed some of the letters and numbers to make them less blocky, using more diagonals and a few over 1 backstitches. His name is blurred for privacy. My favorite details are the cute animals, especially the curious fox and happy frog.
So this project is added to the to-be-framed pile, and 10 days prior to the Baptism, it was time to shift gears and work on his Christening outfit. More on that next time!
