Here’s another new start, it’s a quick stitch. After one week of effort, it’s around 75% complete. I’m stitching this for my 1 year old son, Oliver. I find the verse insprirational and it will look great in his room (enchanted forest theme). My floss toss:

The fabric is 28 count antique copper jobelan by Wichelt. Jobelan is a cotton/modal blend, very soft, nice drape, slight sheen. The hand dye is extremely subtle. I typically stitch on linen, but I adore the jobelan. I appreciate the density of the weave (this stuff is not at all transparent), and it’s really easy to count.

This is a really fun project, incorporating some (new to me) specialty stitches (Four sided, Herringbone, Arrowhead, Rice, Large Tied Cross Stitch, and Scotch). All these are done in Caron Waterlilies; working with this silk thread is such a tactile pleasure. I hope to be happy dancing soon!
