Finishing Apres Surf felt like a great accomplishment, as it had been sitting around since 2013. Besides, it’s allover lace knit on US 3 needles. It got me thinking about other projects languishing around in my craft room. I have several projects in various states of progress (roughly in order of priority):
1. Yoke Detail Sweater by Debbie Bliss. I started this in 2012, it’s done, I think I even blocked it, but never got around to photography. The hems probably need re-blocking, too.

2. Ruched Yoke Tee from Interweave. Started in 2012, all done except for i-cord trim, ends need to be woven, and blocking off course. It would be nice to get this into my summer wardrobe.

3. Iris from Rowan. I started this in 2011 and worked on it awhile, I guess. The back, left front, and left sleeve are were complete. It turns out, I made an error on the left front and it needs to be frogged back to the armscye. The right front was begun in 2011, still on a circular needle so I picked it up again. Currently, the right front is complete, joined to the back via 3 needle bind off at shoulder, and the second sleeve is in progress. It’s slow going; the yarn (Elann Lara) is terribly splitty and it’s allover lace on size 3 needles. But the project is ~75% done and I can always use a lightweight cotton sweater. It would be great to finish this by end of May.
4. Retro Jacket from Classic Elite. Started and finished in 2009, blocked. Never photographed because I wanted to sew a dress to coordinate. Maybe I should get on that?

5. Nespelem from Berroco. I knit this in 2011 and modified the finishing (front bands), intending to put in a zipper, which now seems like a weird idea. Maybe it needs fixing, maybe it’s done, but I need to figure it out. It’s such a pretty color, I love green.
6. Kat from Kim Hargreaves. I lost my original Kat hat on my England trip in 2013 (pictured below). I knit a new one in January 2015, but never got around to photography.
7. Baudelaire from Berroco. Started in 2012, it’s all seamed togther finally, but needs blocking and buttons (and possibly a fabric lining?)
8. Ivy League Vest from Interweave. Started in 2008, knit about 8″, then lost interest. But I really wish I had more vests… they are very practical for the mid-atlantic climate. And I’ve never done a project with steeks before (though I have practiced different steeking methods).

9. Twilight Tapestry from Twist Collective. I knit the hat in 2012 and intended to do the cowl and mittens as well. A girl can never have too many winter acccessories, eh?

10. Kingscot from Twist Collective. Started in 2012, finished the back piece. Pretty cardi for fall/winter. I’m not sure about the fit though, since my bust is bigger (nursing). Pullovers are forgiving enough, but as for cardigans, I’m not sure.

I actually have more knitting UFO’s, but ten seems like a nice round number. So, my new WIPocalypse goal is to work on these projects and finish as many as possible (finishing means photographed and documented!)
