2015 WIPocaplyse: September update

Last week, I happy danced– Christmas Angel is finished! I’m chuffed and hope to have her framed by early December.

Now, I think she is about 85% finished.

The cross stitching is nearly complete, but she needs backstitching and beads. There is a fair amount of backstitching, and the beading is extensive. 9 boxes of beads are needed, and I only have a few stashed.

Question of the month: Where do you buy most of your stitching supplies? I guess all things considered, probably 1-2-3 Stitch, or Michaels (for DMC). I try to patronize local shops, but I’m a stay at home mom on a budget and when the prices are jacked up even above retail, it’s hard.

H'ween tree 2014

For next month, I’m hoping to finish Toil & Trouble (which only needs beads) and make some progress on my The Castle WIP. I also have some Halloween crafts in mind- a new wreath, a painted ceramic piece, and some more ornaments (felt applique) for my glittery black tree. I did the 6 pictured above last year, and it would be nice to finish the remaining 6 this year, but no pressure.
