So, here is my floss toss on “Seaglass” belfast, from Hand Dyed Fabrics by Stephanie.

Now that I’ve started stitching on it, I really love the fabric!  I usually stitch on belfast, but this fabric has a certain special aspect to it- it’s wonderfully soft and the color is gorgeous.  I have 3 pieces from Hand Dyed by Steph and they are all lovely, and most importantly, what I expected to get based on her online photos, only more beautiful in person.  I must say she has earned the #1 spot on my “hand dyed fabric supplier” list.

Siren WIP 1-18-16

I started at the midpoint and worked down (and lastly into the upper half a bit).  There are a few silks (Waterlilies) and I love them, the variegated blue/purple and lavender/pink, so beautiful and I find stitching with silk to be a wonderful tactile experience. After 1 week, I estimate progress at 45%, and I’m very pleased with this progress.  Finishing Siren this year is definitely a priority, and I think that is attainable, especially since I already have the bead pack.  Received that as a Christmas present- thanks Briana!  But it’s Crazy January, and it’s time to rotate to my next new start, Joan Elliott’s 12 Days of Christmas!
