I found this SAL via Crossed Stitches and it seemed like a great idea, as I have plenty of Christmas stitching plannned for this year. At least 2 of the Mirabilia reindeer- Blitzen (WIP) & Dancer. 12 Days of Christmas by Joan Elliott (WIP). Magic of Christmas by Lavendar and Lace. Seraphina and Josefina by Mill Hill. I hope to finish some, but the goal is mainly progress. Future updates will be on the 15th of the month.
So, here is my Blitzen WIP. I started him on December 27, 2015, on “Pewter” opalescent belfast from Picture this Plus. The cross stitching is just about finished, though I ran out of the the dark green DMC so I wasn’t able to finish the upper left. He needs his fluffy tail stitched (in Wisper) and copious amounts of bling (beads and treasures), of which I have yet to acquire.

This pattern, along with Dancer, were Christmas gifts. I carefully cut a fat quarter of linen into 4 pieces; each piece is enough for a reindeer with a modest framing allowance. I’m planning to frame Blitzen and Dancer together in one frame, but matted with individual cut-outs. Eventually I would like to complete several reindeer (plus the sled), and hang along with Royal Holiday.
