So, here is my last new start of crazy January- Air Goddess by Joan Elliott. My floss toss on “Aerial” belfast by Picture this Plus.
After a week, I was close to finishing the bottom half of the chart (the regular DMC part, anyway). So I kept it on the scroll bars another day. Air Goddess was not my favorite of the elementals (Earth is), but I decided to tackle the charts alphabetically. Now that I am stitching Air Goddess, I am quite enamored with her. It’s an easy stitch so far and the fabric reminds me of a cloudly sky, just perfect for this pattern. Don’t you just love her feet? She is “en pointe” like a ballet dancer. And the translucent effect of her underskirts is such a cool feature, how you can see the outline of her back leg; just lovely IMO.
So, this is my fifth of recent new starts- one per week since Christmas (Blitzen, Siren, 12 Days, Love, Air Goddess). I adore all these projects and I’m excited to have them as WIPs. But I’m not sure if serial starting is for me. Still, I want 2016 to be the year of new starts (16 in all I think). A more organized rotation would help, I think. Anyway, as for Air Goddess, I would like to finish her during the first half of the year and start Earth Goddess.
