Firstly, I can unveil the graduation piece I stitched for my sister. Happy dance! I actually did a bit more work on it at the 11th hour, after I received a graduation announcement in the mail. She graduated summa cum laude! How awesome is that? Of course I had to add that to the piece, then the square with the lamp of the learning had to be repositioned (to be centered over 3 lines of text).
I’ve done a lot of stitching recently, having participated in Stitch Maynia via Facebook. I worked on just about everything I have! You can click on the pics for a bigger view. New starts included Celtic Autumn, Dancer, Summer Bellpull, Spirit of Christmas, and Angelina- each of these got 2-4 days on the scroll bars. WIPs included Siren & Shipwreck, Blitzen, Mask of Colors, Air Goddess, The Castle, Love with a Capital L, 12 Days of Christmas, finally Maiden and Unicorn; UFOs included Snowman & Friends and Fall Fairy. Each of those got an hour or two of attention. I’ll do more detailed posts on my new starts when they show up in my rotation again.

To sum up: 5 new starts and 10 WIPs/UFOs over 15 days. If that sounds manic, it was indeed crazy yet fun. It was different stitching with a timer and rotating so often. I can’t say it’s my preferred stitching style, but it’s good to mix it up every now and then.
Before Maynia: The 4th weekend in April, I worked on Love with a Capital L.
Previously:

Currently:

I finished page 8 and began page 9. I also spent some time charting an additional section for the bottom, personalized with wedding details.
I then spent 2 days on 12 Days of Christmas, because I wanted to concentrate on my new starts during Stitch Maynia (normally I work on 12 Days the first weekend of each month).

I finished the backstitching from the top two tiers, cross stitched the geese a-laying block, stitched the red outlines of some new blocks, and did a tiny bit of stitching in the new blocks.
With the rest of the time in April, I worked on Maiden & Unicorn (WIPocalypse Goal No. 4). Previously:

Currently:

Still working on the borders, which are chock full of fractionals. I finally got into a groove and stitched about 25% of the border. My goal is to finish the bottom 50% this year, including the borders, and some backstitching (this pattern has a lot). The main pattern is easy enough, so once I finish the bottom border, I will work on the bottom of the her dress.
After Maynia:
The first thing I did was finish a project. After all those starts, I needed a finish! That will be blogged shortly. Then I framed the graduation piece (pic above), and started a new page on Love with a Capital L. That one is still in progress (no pic yet, sorry).
Question of the Month: What were you stitching this time last year and have you finished it? (via Jo)
Last May 5, I started Midsummer Night Fairy . I worked on her most of that month. And she was happily complete as of March 31, 2016. I also completed some DIY framing, and did a little knitting on my Iris cardigan – which was completed last June.
What’s next? In the immediate future, I will work on Air Goddess- I really want to finish her soon. As for June, it’s Whine n’ WIPs on Stitch Maynia (Facebook), which is what it sounds like. My “whine” projects include my HAEDS, Merlin & Arthur and Mask of Colors QS, as well as Maiden & Unicorn by Vermillion and Castle by Teresa Wentzler. All of these are WIPocalypse goals. I may even eke out a finish, if I feel sufficient dedication to Mask.
