Stitching HD: Dancer

  • Pattern: by Nora Corbett
  • Materials: 32 ct opal belfast in “Pewter” by Picture This Plus, theads, beads, etc as charted
  • Size: 5″ x 6.25″
  • Time to stitch: 8 days

My second reindeer is done, 6 more to go!  Honestly this was a quick little project but it feels good to have a finish nonetheless.  Dancer HDDancer is stitched on a light grey, sparkly, slightly mottled belfast, the same fabric I used for Blitzen.  Each one takes 1/16 of a yard (with a modest framing allowance).  I plan to order some more during the PTP sale on July 25th; I hope it is similar enough as it is hand dyed.

Dancer HD-detail 1The pattern is fine, easy to read and follow.  As is my wont, I attached all the small beads with DMC matched to the fabric.  Beading this guy was a lot of fun; I did it in one shot, about 3 hours.  He’s so blingy, with 3 different bead colors and 4 types of treasures!  His name at my bottom is my addition.  When all the reindeer are hanging on the wall together, I want to be able to tell which one is which. Dancer HD-detail 2My next reindeer will be probably be Donner, though it may not be until 2017.  Up next, a new start: Earth Goddess!
