During Stitch Maynia, I started Celtic Autumn with a color conversion and spent 4 days on her.  The fabric is 28 count “Vintage Country Mocha” cashel by Zweigart.  I prefer 32 count but I think 28 works better for the Celtic ladies with all the beading.  The original credit for the conversion is to “littlecat”, and I got the details via Janet Granger’s blog.   The pattern is done in purples and golds, which doesn’t exactly say “autumn” to me.  These colors (oranges, greens, browns) are much better in my opinion.  I started in the middle, at her waist, and stitched about half the skirt, plus a section of the right border.  It stitched up quickly with long bands of color.

I worked on her again before the Stitchy-lympics, just one day but I made a little progress- the lower part of her sleeve, a bit of her shawl, edge of her bodice, and more of the skirt.

I’m loving this project.  She is one of my focus pieces for August so I hope to make a lot more progress this month!

I love these colours too. I don’t know what Marilyn was thinking when she chose the original colours!
I stitched Celtic Noel (twice) and she took about three months each time but I was working full time then.

Love your colour changes on this Celtic lady – they are definitely more of an Autumn colour range :o)
Had fun watching your latest video yesterday while I was doing my ironing (flosstube is a great way to make that hour or so go quicker each week!)
Hope that cough is getting better :o)
    Hugs xx
