Here is my third and final reindeer of 2016!

Donner HD

Donner was a fun little stitch, I love his powerful aspect.  He looks strong enough to haul Santa’s sleigh, no problem!  This one has more backstitching than Blitzen and Dancer, as the border is backstitched.  I got a little lazy and took shortcuts, I probably should have done in the backstitch in smaller sections.  No matter, it will look fine when stretched and framed.  I attached the treasures with black nymo beading thread; all the other beading was done with DMC.  I may try to sub swarovski crystals for the treasures when I do the others.  The bling on these little projects definitely adds up.  His name at the bottom is my little addition.

The fabric is the same subtly mottled, sparkly, light grey that I’m using for all the reindeer.  I still have 1/16 yd from the original fat quarter I bought- Dasher will be stitched on it.  He’s a “must stitch” for next year.  I did purchase in an additional fat quarter in the PTP sale so I have enough for 4 additional reindeer.

Congratulations on the Happy Dance for Donner. He looks so strong and majestic.
I watched for Electuon special vlogs this afternoon and really enjoyed the political asides. The College thing is interesting – one man, one vote -but some of your votes are worth more than others? If a college has 100 votes and the split is 40/60 it would make sense to split the votes the same way? Or is that too logical? LOL
    Also, loved your baby vampire.
