If you’ve read this blog long enough, I’m sure it’s evident that I am more of a product vs. process, crafter.  I like to have finishes.  That is especially true with stitching, as it can be a large time commitment, and quite expensive to “kit up” projects with hand dyed fabric, silk threads, embellishments, etc.  I wouldn’t do it at all if I didn’t love the process, but I’d never start a project without any intention of finishing, within a specific timeframe.  It may be weeks, months, or even years… but not simply “someday”.

So, serial starting is just not feasible for a product stitcher who likes large projects.  And I wonder if doing the Year of Starts in 2016 ruined me!  My “to do” list for 2017 is ridiculous. There is no way I’ll get to all of it, not if I intend to finish anything.  And I am committed to the Year of WIPs, so WIPs need to be my focus.  So, enough blathering, here are a great many projects which may or may not get started next year.

26 projects! And that’s counting the Mill Hill 12 as one! You could manage one of those a month and then work on two others each month? They’d all get some time then.
I love the Carousel Horse, I saw the book many years ago when I first started stitching and kick myself for not buying it then!
Also love the Miras and the JE’s. I have quite a few the same as you. They won’t be started any time soon!
