This month I worked two days on my Mill Hill Christmas village, specifically the Tree Farm chart. I may need to adjust my rotation time on this project, as I want to finish one every 3 months, and that will take more than 6 days (2 days x 3 months). I’ve worked on it 8 days since I started and I anticipate it will take another 3 days to finish, though this block possibly requires extra time since I’m stitching 2 sides of border.

I did a bit more cross stitching, backstitched, and started beading. I added the dark green, red, gold, and white beads. There are still three colors left to bead, plus a bit of cross stitching I missed on the lower left, and more snowflake border. As for the button, which goes on top of the pole at top left, I won’t be adding it until the whole project is stitched, because it’s rather bulky and I don’t want it rolled up with the scroll bar.
I’m really loving this project, the picture from the pattern doesn’t do it justice at all, and of course stitching on fabric is quite different than perforated paper. Honestly, I would only use perforated paper for an ornament and these charts, at 5″ square, are rather too big for that application IMO. Hopefully next month I’ll be able to blog this as happy dance!
