Summer is almost over and I am glad! The heat and stickiness doesn’t agree with me.
At the end of July, I spent 4 days with Fire Goddess, but we’ll get her to a bit…
August began with Fall Fairy… my plan was to give her a week each in August, September, October, November. Will that be enough time to finish? Previous progress:

Now:

In a week’s time I managed to complete page 1 and stitch about half of page 2 (of 4). 3 more weeks won’t be enough to finish. I’ll give it 2 more weeks and devote the remaining time to finishing something else, TBD.
In the second week of August, I rotated to Fire Goddess. Previous progress:

After 5 days (9 days total since last pic), I ran out of Kreinik… there is some more cross stitching to do, with Kreinik, (the fireworks all around her, necklace, hair decoration, plus backstitching the sun pattern on her gown, more backstitch on her face and arms. Sorry for the weird pic, but she will be revealed in all her glory soon.
I had a few days in the second week of my rotation, so I broke out the beads I purchased recently and finished Dasher in one evening. I must say it was satisfying to sew all the treasures on, I did a conversion to Swarovski’s, and they were much more affordable.

In the 3rd week, I started with King Arthur’s Court. Previous progress:

After 7 days effort:

I spent 3 days with my Christmas village project, blogged here.
2 more days were devoted to I am a Stitcher, blogged here.
Question of the Month: How do you get yourself out of a stitching drought? Sometimes I will pick up a different craft, like knitting, or sewing, to focus on. After a few days, I am bound to miss my stitching. Overall I don’t force it though. Everything has a season and different crafts will catch my attention as time goes by.
