It’s September… the year is starting to wind down and it’s time to get all my ducks in a row.
Among my WIPs, I have 4 more finish goals this year. My plan is to work on them until they are done, rotations may be one week, or less….

Maiden and Unicorn has 41 days progress, since I started working on it again last year. It’s about 3/4 done. I worked on her 3 days the first week of September and stitched mainly on the top border. I plan to do more this month- I’ll backstitch as much as I can and perhaps work on the horn. This piece is my top finish priority, since it’s the oldest WIP, started in 2007.

King Arthur’s Court has 20 days progress so far. The bottom half is stitched, except for the gold metallic and backstitching. The backstitching isn’t too extensive, but this is a big pattern, so perhaps I should do some before I proceed. There is more negative space on the top half. I hope I can finish it in 2 weeks, but that may too optimistic. I’ll find more time if it’s needed.

Titania has 13 days progress so far. The bottom half is mostly stitched. The top half may have a bit less stitching. Again, 2 weeks have been allotted, we shall see. I do really want to finish her though, so I can start another full size Mira lady next year.

I am a Stitcher has 9 days progress. This stitches up quickly when I get the colors right (choosing my own). There are two more phrases to stitch, and a bit more of the background pattern. I will likely also backstitch the gold line with a high luster gold metallic.
I’m planning to start 2 new projects that I intend to finish this year…
Remember! was a gift from a fellow stitcher, a lovely bit of stitchy kindness from Sharon M. My plan is to start it in September on white monoco and try to finish it as a Christmas present. Since it is mainly text, I hope it won’t take too long. We’ll see once I get into it.

Through the Woods by Mill Hill is a small piece that will go on Stormy grey jobelan along with the rest of the Christmas village. I have 9 days allotted for this; hopefully it won’t take too long. It’s not large, about 100 stitches square.
I have 3 other pieces that I want to start this year and carry through as WIPs to 2018.

I intend to start a smallish Halloween piece in October. Any opinion which? Ana (left) or Trick or Treat Fairy? I honesty can’t decide.

My plan for November is to start Enchanted Mermaid on my own hand dyed monoco (it’s a bit darker blue, not white at all).

Picture credit to JOT. This is a conversion from the original Celtic Winter pattern. I have a chart from Nathalie Guillemot for the cape, I’ll use the pic for inspiration but will need to choose my own colors as I can’t find the conversion info. I’m planning to start this for the Winter Solstice, December 21st. There will be some crazy starting in January since Louise & I (Soulful Stitcher pen pals) decided on 17 projects for Year of WIPs 2018, and per the rules, all pieces must actually be started by January 18th.
