Another of my Maynia starts, We Do Disney by Stitchline (etsy) got some effort in September.  Though 5 days were planned, it only took 3 to reach the finish line, almost. I want to save the last little bit for vacation stitching when we visit Disney later this year.

Previous progress:

We Do Disney WIP 5-30-18Current progress after 3 days:

We Do Disney WIP 9-3-18

What can I say, letters stitch up quick and the rotation included a holiday weekend with lots of stitchy time on the first day.  I dithered over colors a bit… I was considering a deep pink for the “Once upon a time” phrase, but I went with the light pink-violet instead.  It’s fine, you could go many different directions with the colors… everything pops on black.  Originally “Because in this House” was planned for blanc, but I decided to make it different from We Do Disney at the bottom, and I didn’t necessarily want to introduce another color.  Grey was just the ticket, being neutral.  I really enjoy stitching this pattern and I’m chuffed with how it’s coming out.  I’d like another Stitchline pattern in this format for a different fandom.

What a fun piece and what a cool idea about putting the last few stitches while on your Disney vacation! Thanks for sharing the designer’s name as well!

Wonderful progress, it looks great! Your colour choices look good too. I hope you take a picture of it when you’ve finished it, maybe in front of the castle?

Oh, this looks great! I agree, stitching letters is so nice and quick, I really enjoy it. Great colour choices, and I love the idea of actually finishing at a Disney park!
I think I’ve seen a few fandom-based ‘at this house’ patterns of varying quality around Etsy, I’m sure you can find another one that you like 🙂
