Presenting my 5th reindeer!

The pattern is fine, it’s a small chart with a limited number of colors. But the Kreinik stitching is extensive and there is plenty of bling. The Wisper thread is annoying, as usual. It took 3 short lengths to get ~30 stitches done for the tail. I added the name at the bottom, as is my custom. I like being able to tell which reindeer is which!

As for materials, I used mostly the listed supplies except I subbed Swarovski crystals for the Mill Hill Treasures, more cost effective and just as nice, the colors may not be a perfect match, but it hardly matters. I’m using this opalescent Pewter belfast for the series; a fat quarter is enough for 4 reindeer.

My favorite details are the massive candy cane ribbon and the Christmas tree she’s hauling on her back, with all its crystal bling. I also like how the antlers are draped with “strings” of beads.

I have definite plans to stitch Comet this year, as that chart is part of Year of WIPs, WIPgo, etc. Who knows, I may stitch Cupid and Vixen, as well. They are not part of any challenge I signed up for, but stranger things have happened! It would be nice to be done with the series. I have no plans to stitch Rudolph or the Sled; lovely as they are, they don’t really fit into my arrangement.
