Hello my name is Stephanie and I’m a crazy cross stitcher, though I enjoy other crafts such as knitting, felt appliqué, cooking, baking, and I like reading too. Cross stitch is certainly the focus of this blog, in recent times. Cross stitch is my therapy, solace, & creative outlet. Here are my goals:

1. Mickey Stained Glass by Neni Designs (etsy) is my oldest wip, started in January 2024. Last year I made some cracking progress, it’s currently 84.5% complete. I’m looking forward to a birthday (April) finish.

2. St. George and Dragon by Vermillion was also started in January 2024. I would really like to finish it this year, and there is more negative space on the top half, so perhaps my 20k goal for 2026 will be enough to finish. That’s 1,500 x 10 months, plus 1,600 x 2 months.

3. Fairy of the Clouds by Joan Elliott was started in July 2025, I gave her 9 days love and 10, 120 st, and I’m happy to make her a focus this year, with a 3k monthly goal. Hopefully she will be finished around summertime.

4. Fairy Idyll by Mirabilia was started in September 2025, she had 6 days attention and 4,203 st. There is a long way to go on this piece, but she will be another 3k focus, so maybe I can finish her, we’ll see.

5. Santa’s Gifts by Joan Elliott was started in December 2025, he had 4 days love and 2,025 stitches done. Again, there are many stitches to do, and he will be a 3k focus, perhaps an autumn finish.

6. Outlander by Ars Orikika (etsy) was started in May 2025, and had 5 days and 4,300 stitches done. This will be a 2k monthly goal and hopefully it will be finished by midyear.

7. USA 250 by Wrought Iron Stitching was started in November, with 6 days love and 2,050 stitches. It will be a 1500 monthly goal and hope to finish (and frame) by May.

8. Ornaments, I have 4 continuing wips, Christmas Cake by Rhona Norrie, Cuckoo Clock, O Divine Night Shepherd by Leisure Arts, Holiday Flair, and. I will try to limit my new starts to 8, including 4 -5 from the JCS Christmas 2025 issue, maybe a couple for Halloween and Easter too. I will only be working on 1-2 at a time, until finished, since I’m doing the Focus X challenge with WIP Warriors (limit of 10 active WIPs).

8. New Starts: the most significant include Ghool School by Glendon Place, which I will start in January, and Wheel of the Year by Primitive Hare, which I have divided into 12 “wedges” to work on around the year with the Semisane calendar SAL, also a January start. I would really love to start a Bella Filipina chart this year, and perhaps a Nimue one. Other new start possibilities are outlined here .

9. Framing, I do it myself for many years now, and I have a great backlog of framing materials. My craft room is basically inaccessible now, but that situation will be rectified soon.

10. Other crafts such as felt appliqué, I have my Santa laundry kit to finish at the minimum. It’s all done except Santa’s hat and boxer shorts.

Now, for my January goals:

  • Focus 3k: Fairy Clouds, Fairy Idyll, Santa’s Gifts
  • Secondary 2k: Ghool School, Wheel of the Year, Outlander
  • Tertiary 1500: Mickey Stained Glass, St. George & Dragon (1700), USA 250
  • Smalls 600/finish: Christmas Cake, O Divine Night Shepherd, Holiday Flair
