Well, in the past month, I finished my son’s Christmas stocking. Before:

Now:

While I realize my 10-month-old (at the time) willl not know or care about his stocking, DH & I both have personalized handmade stockings, and it didn’t feel right for the newest family member to be without. Expect a detailed FO post with better pics soon.
I made a bit of progress on the baby blanket. Before:

Now:

I sewed more of the border around the edge, realized i would not have enough of the border to finish, so I put the border back on the needles and worked some additional repeats (leaf motifs). Oliver likes playing with the blanket, so that is a bonus. I am very close to finishing this project, next month could be the charm.

The shopping cart cover is in progress; I like to think the annoying part of this done (sewing together the 3 huge layers). I will keep going, hoping to finish this weekend. I don’t know how much use this will get honestly. I’m not fond of strangers touching my child (I’m sure they mean no harm but who knows where their hands have been!) I wear him (in the ergo) at the grocery store and even so I constantly have to dodge strangers. I suppose it would be worse if he were actually sitting in the cart. However, this cover can be used in restaurant highchairs, too. That would be helpful, as highchairs are often quite dirty, though we don’t go out to eat much these days.
